 About AIM

Alberta AIM assists physicians and their teams focus on access, efficiency and clinical care improvements. Participating teams are introduced to anĀ  improvement process and a set of principles based on the belief that waits and delays are costly to the health care system, both for patients and for clinics. We now know that through these improvement processes and principles, wait times and delays can be improved or eliminated.

AIM helps physicians and their teams reduce wait times by predicting and managing patient demands and uses a collaborative model of learning.

AIM participants work to achieve:

  • Improved access
  • Improved efficiency
  • Improved clinical care outcomes
  • Improved patient satisfaction
  • Improved clinician and staff satisfaction
  • Increased revenue
  • Decreased cost
